Digging up the Past is a news and resource centre for Biblical archaeology. We aim to provide accurate, reliable, up-to-date information about excavations and discoveries past and present which have a relevance to Biblical history. Our emphasis, however, is on archaeology and we have no truck with the pseudo-science and fake discoveries that sometimes appear on other sites.

For those just venturing into the fascinating world of Middle Eastern archaeology we offer a set of twelve lessons that give a broad over-view of the kingdoms, rulers and history of this part of the world. Discover the story of Nebuchadnezzar, Suppiluliumas, Rameses II and a host of others.
